Recent reports on Twitter/X claim that Google is sunsetting Gmail.

Note: these claims have yet to be verified by Google, story is developing.

Google has had a rough patch in the news cycle, between threats of disruption from OpenAI and Perplexity; department of justice investigations; Gemini rollout launch failures due to claims of rewriting history.

If it appears that Google is sunsetting Gmail, this would be another nail in the coffin for the fledgling search giant.
